15-Minute Foam Roller for Low Back Pain Relief

If you are one of the millions of people facing lower back pain problems, I’m so happy you are here. My name is Caroline Jordan and I am a certified health and fitness coach. I want to help you feel better and learn how to use a foam roller for low back pain relief. Foam rolling is one of the most common and effective methods of relieving muscle tension. In general, foam rolling is an excellent therapeutic tool for relieving tight muscles and creating more space in the body. Foam rolling is a great form of recovery for athletes, active people, and anyone with a sedentary lifestyle.

Something to know about lower back pain is that it is often influenced by the areas around the low back. Thats why we will also be targeting your glutes, piraformis, hip flexors, and hamstrings. All of these muscles if they get tight or tense can actually lead to lower back pain.

Before beginning this routine it is ESSENTIAL that you get permission from your doctor or health care team to perform stretching and massage exercises that can alleviate lower back pain. Show them this video routine and get approval before you get started.

Once you have gotten doctor’s permission make sure you have the right tools to use at home. In this video, we are using the Foam Roller Set From FitBeast Club 🌀 You can get this foam roller on the Fitbeast Club website https://fitbeastclub.com/collections/yoga/products/fitness-foam-rollers-fitbeast?source=caroline . USE CODE 20% Coupon: caroline0120 . Here are the exercises we will cover in this lower back foam roller video:

  • Windshield wipers
  • Lumbar Mobility
  • Supported Bridge Pose
  • Glutes and Piriformis
  • Hip Flexors
  • Hamstrings

As you begin foam rolling today, please take it really slowly, listen to your body, and if anything feels like it becomes too intense, that is just your cue to back off a little bit. We do want to keep this practice very safe. Some of us are dealing with a pinched nerve, bulging disc, or injury, so PLEASE really listen to your body and make adjustments when needed to let this routine fit you. One thing that you want to note if you are dealing with a sensitive lower back is not to arch over the roller.

Now that you’re equipped with these foam rolling exercises to relieve lower back pain, keep up the good work by making foam rolling a part of your wellness routine. You’ll continue alleviating tension and creating space in the body, and as a result, you’ll reap the benefits of reduced pain, increased range of motion, and a greater sense of wellbeing overall.

  1. Hi. I was so happy I found your awesome website on exercises for osteopenia. I have a question for you. Is Pilates recommended for someone who has osteopenia. I am 70 but don’t feel like I have 70 decades on me. Thanks, Espy
