“I am about to start week 4 of Caroline‘s Strong Body Beautiful program I am absolutely loving it! I started this journey with a foot injury and wasn’t sure how much of the program I could actually do. Well, I needn’t have worried! There are very few that I can’t. I am finding that strength training is amazing! There are 6 weeks worth of workout programs that you can do to suit your individual schedule and fitness level. I never get bored, I look forward to every single workout! I’m noticing my strength improving also and it is a wonderful feeling! I am actually looking forward to doing round 2 of the 6 weeks. This is now a lifestyle for me. And the amount of content that is provided! I find it hard to put down, there is so much to learn, not only about nutrition and exercise but also about looking after myself holistically. And I’m making friends at the gym. I feel very blessed that Caroline with her positive energy and this program are now a part of my everyday life. Carolines “Thought of The Day” that pops up in my daily newsfeed and the journeys and stories of others really inspire me to look after myself like I have never done before. Thank you so so much Caroline, I will be forever grateful.” – Lynda M
“Day 1 week 1! Started the week with strength training to suit my schedule. Wow! Legs feel like jelly but I’m not exhausted, yay!! Who would of thought I could feel energised after a workout! I haven’t been to the gym in a few months but today I noticed the other women there were all using weights too! This program is making me smile and feel excited and positive for what is to come. Hope everyone else is enjoying their journey too.” – Sue S
“I love group fitness classes as much as the next person, but this strong body program by Caroline Jordan should be done by everyone – especially those of you who love group fitness but aren’t seeing results (anymore). This feels like one of those “when the student is ready the teacher appears” moments. I am so grateful she appeared.
Recently, I made the decision to only do cardio-focused fitness for the endorphins. Strictly for that reason. After a series of bloodwork and fitness assessments, one thing was clear: A) Caroline’s program is spot on and B) my cortisol is high, my metabolism has slowed down, and my lean muscle mass has decreased. My cardio fitness ability? That of a 13 year old girl. I’ve always played sports and have been really active, but for the last 4 years something hasn’t added up. I was so frustrated for so long. I’m a person of action. Find a problem, fix it. Except, I couldn’t fix it. I couldn’t even figure out what the problem was for the longest time. That is until until a recent conversation with Caroline followed by one with a new (amazing) doctor. Light. Bulb. Moment.
Nine years ago, I made a decision to try a half marathon and retrain my muscles to run long distance. Since I had played interval sports and done weight bearing training until that point, it was nearly impossible to run more than five minutes without wanting to stop. Now, I could run until you said stop. It was not all bad. So much good has come from the community I gained from riding on a soulcycle bike. I’ve completed some really hard road races with good finishing times. But in the process, I neglected good ol’ fashioned weight training. The conversation with Caroline was a spotlight on the issue. I was in amazing shape until I started relying almost exclusively on cardio fitness classes and running distances. Let’s face it, the weight room was never really appealing to most women. And half the time I’m in the gym, I notice most men have terrible form so it’s not like I’m intimidated but it’s just not as admittedly fun as the party that is group fitness. We all agree it’s easy – it’s a party on a bike, it’s a quick way to log a workout anywhere in the world with just a pair of sneakers, it’s a fun dance class or even hot yoga practice. But it shouldn’t be the only thing we do if it’s not working for us.
For someone who values proper form, group HIIT classes were never my thing. I’ve gotten injured (like most people) at some well known boutique fitness classes and I didn’t see results at other ones. You name it, I’ve tried it. In catching up with Caroline, we were chatting about this craze. It’s a total comfort zone, at least for me. But one of my doctors once said – and I believe him – the most in shape fitness instructors are not just up there doing that one thing, they’re cross training, usually with HIIT. I realized I had to give up the comfort zone, and brave the weight room alone. Well, with Caroline’s help and encouragement.
The thing is, every body is unique and different. We all have family histories of illness and disease, we all have different lifestyles, our metabolisms are not the same, some of us have had children while others have not, we’re not the same ages, and we all have different ranges of mobility. One size does not fit all – and we have to be mindful of that. Just like in the Instagram world of photoshop and perfectly positioned lattes, things aren’t what they seem and chances are your favorite fitness instructor is not just teaching your class but is logging his or her own hours in the gym outside of class. That’s why I love her program – it talks about all of these factors.
After really working on my diet to figure out what food allergies I had, which foods make me feel better, and committing to eat 5 small meals a day and not “space out” and let hours pass without eating, I’ve decided to go back to my old training methods with some new classes and Caroline’s program.
I also highly recommend getting a complete fitness assessment and talking to your doctor too. I can’t wait to see where I’m at in 3, then 6, then 9 and finally 12 months but if it’s anywhere like I was my whole life and up until 10 years ago, I’ll take it. As they say, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Thank you Caroline for designing this program. I am so grateful to continue my fitness journey with you.” – Samantha M
