Do This To Lower Blood Sugar FAST: 15-Minute Movement Is Medicine Challenge

Did you know that your muscles are like “sponges” for blood sugar? It’s a scientific fact that intentional movement can help your body process glucose more efficiently, acting as a natural form of medicine for your metabolic health.

Today is an extra special day to put this into practice. Last year, the Mayor of San Diego officially declared July 15th as Movement is Medicine Day in honor of our community’s 15-year journey together on YouTube. To celebrate, I’m challenging you to join me for our most requested routine: a 15-minute workout designed to naturally lower your blood sugar.

The Science: How 15 Minutes Can Change Your Health

When we move our large muscle groups—like our legs, glutes, and core—they require energy to function. To get that energy, they “soak up” the sugar (glucose) currently in your bloodstream. You don’t need a gym or fancy equipment to make this happen; you just need 15 minutes of intentional, low-impact movement.

The Movement is Medicine Challenge: If you have a glucose monitor, I want you to test your levels right now. Then, join me for the workout video below. Finally, test your levels again 30 minutes after we finish. You might be surprised at just how much of a difference 15 minutes can make!

(In the video, we’ll go through a “Best Of” circuit featuring community favorites like the Arm Jumping Jacks and our signature Hip Pocket move to get those glucose sponges working!)

Celebrating 15 Years of Healing

This challenge is more than just a workout; it’s a celebration of 15 years of choosing hope and health. From managing diabetes and high blood pressure to recovering from injuries, this community has proven time and time again that movement truly is the best medicine for the body and mind.

I want to hear your story! How has movement changed your life over the years? If you took the challenge today, drop your “before and after” numbers or your personal victory in the comments of the video. Let’s flood the world with proof that this philosophy works.

Thank you for being part of this journey. We are all in this together.

Sending you so much gratitude,

Caroline
