  1. Hi Caroline ~
I’m so happy to have found you, your YouTube videos and now your blog! I’ve had a year long struggle with a broken sesamoid bone. I broke my lateral sesamoid Aug. 20, 2017, had surgery to remove it on April 23, 2018 (after 8 mths of trying to get it to heal naturally). Now, as of July 20, 2018 my medial sesamoid has broken and I have a TERRIBLE case of sesamoiditis. My right foot hurts and is inflammed, to the point that the new orthotic inserts the doctor said would be a game changer are too painful for me to even wear. I really don’t want to go back to wearing a black knee high boot and wonder where I could purchase a lower one like the one you have in your videos? Surgery is not an option for me, as I must retain my remaining sesamoid bone for toe stability and to avoid future deformity. Reading your website tips, I bought myself a pair of ALTRA running shoes and have been hobbling around in them. They are the only shoe/sneaker I can get my foot into, so that I can still drive, run errands, see friends, etc…
I had to take a leave of absence from my part-time job, because it involved standing on my feet hrs./day.
Any helpful websites you can point me to sure would be appreciated. Thanks!
