As you may know, I am in the process of healing from a bad back injury. The journey has been full of its ups and downs, yet I’m making progress and learning a lot about my body. I have found this experience to be full of lessons and silver linings. It’s certainly helping me grow as a coach and help others who struggle with similar aliments. Back injuries are quite common. In fact, around 80% of the American population will experience back pain at some point in their lives. Back pain is one of the most common reasons people struggle with their physical or mental health. I am one of those people.
But that’s exactly why I have created my back injury recovery exercise series. To share with others the tools I’ve used in my journey to heal. If you are also struggling with back pain or a back injury, I want to help YOU and your BACK get better fast. I’m here to guide you through back rehab exercises to strengthen your back muscles and reduce pain. As always, make sure you are medically cleared for back rehab exercises and are following the guidelines prescribed by your doctor. You can even show your care team my back injury recovery videos in advance for permission, I have SO many doctors recommending their patients to my work now which is amazing because they are helping their patients use movement as medicine.
When you have been medically cleared, my back injury recovery exercise series can be of great benefit to your back post-injury. This video is level 2 of a 3 part series. If you haven’t done so already make sure you’ve mastered level 1 before progressing to this routine. Each video builds on back health fundamentals so that you develop a foundation of fitness to recover from your back injury to return to more activities. I recommend using this video 2-4 times per week as you heal and then keeping these exercises in your repertoire after the pain is gone to stay injury free. Make sure you also check out level three after mastering this video as well as my other low impact workouts to stay active.
