I want to encourage you to use December as a way to get a head start on your 2021 goals. And it couldnt be any easier to stay active right now and accountable with the December Fitness Challenge to get MOVING! Here are a few other helpful tips on how YOU can stay on track this holiday
A Plan For Holiday Health Goals
1. Make sure you exercise every day.
Even if you are staying put this holiday season, make sure you’re getting your blood flowing and keeping up your healthy exercise routine. A 10-minute walk around the block may not seem like much, but it can make a huge difference! The December Fitness Challenge will keep you moving daily with short, effective workouts that will refresh your mind, body, spirit.
2. Don’t skip any meals throughout the day.
No matter the size of the meal, it’s important to eat breakfast, lunch, dinner, and healthy snacks every day to keep your metabolism working as it’s supposed to.
3. Find healthy ways to release your stress and tension.
Instead of letting typical holiday stress and tension build up in your mind and body, find a healthy way to release them throughout the season. Try something like exercise in the morning, foam rolling before bed, or taking a hot epsom salt bath. My Youtube channel offers a variety of stretch videos – a perfect way to get exercise AND release stress and tension…
4. Drink water every day.
The cold weather and sipping on holiday beverages can make you even more dehydrated than normal. Be conscious of the amount of water you’re drinking. Better yet, invest in a water bottle like this one to remind you to drink more. And if you’re drinking alcohol, try to drink a glass of water in between each drink.
5. Don’t beat yourself up if you over-ate or skipped a workout.
The holidays are about enjoying time with family, relaxing, and indulging a little bit. If you miss a workout or eat a bad meal, don’t beat yourself up about it! Just remember that every little bit of movement counts and helps you stay healthy!
